Moonis Elahi Asks Fellow Citizens To Remain Calm When Abroad

The Berlin attacker, a lorry driver who plowed into the market killing 12 and injuring over 50 is suspected to be of Pakistani or Afghani origin seeking asylum in Germany. the local police has stated they know the person and he has been booked on numerous accounts before but they weren't major criminal offences. Moonis Elahi has expressed grief over the act of suspecting the attacker to be of Pakistani origin. Unless the nationality is confirmed such statements should not be released. Naming a suspect to be of Pakistani origin creates a hype against our country which is already tarnished by terrorism.
The attacker is more likely to be a Chechen as his previous police records indicate it. Naming him a Pakistani is just media hype as they know whenever they name a suspect to be of Pakistani origin the news spreads like wildfire. Moonis Elahi has urged Pakistanis to remain calm and focus on their families and strive for a better life because it is the reason they chose to settle in foreign countries. Racism is known to have increased over the years and since the US elections and winning of Trump, racism related incidents have soared. Black people have reported of being offended in the US now more than ever.
